Having been relatively quiet in 2020, Goro is back with the first single of his new split album with Sattva, the mysterious Belgian producer with whom he brought us the head-turning modern interpretation of Bulgarian Chalga “Shining Eyes'' from his 2019 Unbound Forever album. Just like last year’s well received single, “Daj Mi Parite” (and the whole newly created body of work from the pair) is using Goro’s Balkan heritage and bringing the producer’s musical roots in the context of contemporary club music. Not uncommonly for the Balkans, the backbone of the two’s works is residing more in the East, than the West, which is a reflection of their musical background and how they got to know each other. “Daj Mi Parite” means “give me the money” - the simple and bold sentiment could easily be described as typical for Bulgaria’s culture. All bandcamp proceeds from the single are going to be donated to a Yemen relief organisation.
